Saturday 31st July is the day chosen for the annual ‘Pink Picnic’, aimed at the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered community and their friends and families. Following the successful format of last year’s event in Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham LGBT Community Trust is again advertising the event as ‘no bars, no funfair, no charge’. Everybody is welcome, and invited to bring a picnic, blanket, games and a sense of fun!
Birmingham LGBT Community Trust, which works with and for the LGBT community in and around Birmingham, organises the picnic as a more low key event in contrast to the Pride Festival in May, which centres around the bars and clubs in the gay village.
